Tips On Getting the Shape You Always Wanted

So, you have finally decided that you are going to take action. May this is a New Years’ resolution; maybe you stood on the scales or saw yourself for the first time in a long time in a long-frame mirror. Whatever your reason, you have to decide that you are going to get in shape. But how? It is very easy to say this, but how many times have you said it before, and what makes this time any different? The good news is that there are some tried and tested methods to getting in shape, so let’s take a look at some now:

Be Honest

When it comes to getting in shape, the very first thing you need to be is honest with yourself. This is mostly in regard to the sort of exercise routine you will be able to stick to. There is simply no point in doing something once. Good intentions get you nowhere, action does. So, don’t plan to get up and do a pre-work swim if there is no way you’ll stick to it. Find a time that suits you. A time you would normally be wasted, like when do you intend to stare at your phone for a long time? If this is after work, go then. In some cases, during your lunch hour will work.

What Motivates You

It may be an idea to write down your motivation. If you can get a picture of your motivation, like an image of a six-pack or a wedding dress, and stick it on your fridge, or even have it as a phone screen saver. The point is, when you start your exercise routine, it is going to be difficult to stay motivated, at least for the first few months. It will help if you have your motivator in a place where you will see it. Constantly seeing will not only cause you to be consciously aware of your intent, but it will seep into your subconscious, and once it is in there, you will find it easier to stay motivated and keep exercising.

Set Goals

Another great way to keep motivated is to set fitness goals. An overarching goal such as completing a marathon is good, but it makes a lot more sense to create incremental goals. Smaller goals are a good idea because they are more achievable in a shorter space of time. If u want to lift 200lbs, then creating a goal of 75lbs, then 100lbs is far more manageable. You can also give yourself a little treat for achieving your goals, which is a fun idea and helps you stay motivated.

Find Something You Love

If you really want to get fit, then find something you love to do. It doesn’t matter what a dance class, swimming, jogging, cycling, or going to a gym like https://www.fitnesscartel.com.au/clubs/albion-park. Maybe finding an exercise partner is what you need. It might be far more enjoyable for you if you have a friend that is in the same boat.
