A new beginning
Some of you may have been wondering: What’s Rog been up to? Well, I have been out of the blogging “biz” for quite some time. I was working as a virtual assistant/social media marketing manager for bloggers with Ben Butler https://www.bizzybim.com/ and I really enjoyed it. Now it’s time to dust off the old blog and get back into the blogging biz. I decided the time is right to get back on the horse. My goal is to monetize it to help with our everyday living.
Where do I start? Well, in 2018, we’ve been basically nomads. Our house burned down in October of that year. We first started living at my wife’s sister’s house. Then, our grand kids asked if we would come live with them, and, at that time, for reasons I will keep private, the timing was perfect. So, we moved in with them and our oldest son. We celebrated both of our grand kid’s birthdays, our son’s birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
We moved out July 1st, and moved to a little cottage, where we lived until October 1st, as the owner had to winterize it. We then moved into a hotel in Horseheads, NY. We have come full circle, and are now back at my brother and sister’s-in-law house, until our house is finished. We’re staying there while our brother-in-law recovers from an auto accident he had in January.
I have several posts coming soon, ranging from the actual day of the fire, to some politics (more of a history flavor) and history. I’m going to try to be obscure with history: events that a lot of people aren’t aware that happened. I hope that I can entertain, as well as inform you. I also plan to sprinkle some humorous memes throughout. I felt an updated post on what’s been going on, where we’ve been and a whole variety of topics was warranted. I’ve actually missed writing, and as long as I can keep coming up with different posts, I’ll keep on writing.
My life has been boring compared to what’s been going on in your life! I’m so sorry you lost your home, but I’m glad you’ve been able to bounce back.
Slowly but surely we are bouncing back!
Oh my goodness what a hectic time! I can’t imagine what that must have been like. How lovely that you got to spend lots of time with your grandchildren though! We spent 10 months living with my parents and my daughter loved being able to spend time each day with them.
It was great, even though there were times where I got depressed and mad. I think it was because of losing our house and everything
I am so sorry about your house, what a nightmare but great that family has been there to help. We have just got back from holiday in Spain
Gosh, that does sound like a lot has been going on for you. How frightening to go through the fire. It is nice to see you are eager to write again, and I hope it brings some focus back, as well as enjoyment.
I’m so sorry to hear about your house fire, it can’t be nice moving between one place and another. Things have been pretty busy for me lately as me and my fiance got engaged last month and we’re in the final stages of buying our house x
You certainly have had a time of it, so sorry to hear about the fire but sounds like you have been having some lovely family time x
All the best getting back into blogging Roger, I have a total love:hate relationship with it! But I’ve been doing it for 12 years now, so it is a bit addictive! Mich x
it sounds like you’ve been busy doing lots of moving round! Look forward to reading your upcoming blog posts 😀
That must’ve been a busy time for you and I’m sorry hear about your house. I’m glad that you guys are okay and doing well.
I am so sorry to hear about your house fire Roger but super happy to see you back on the blogging horse. I can’t wait to check out your new posts.
I’m so sorry you lost your home, that must have been awful. It’s great you have family who helped out though. I’m looking forward to reading your new posts.
Ah Rog, I am so sorry to hear about your house fire, I hope not to many personal mementos such as photographs and the such were lost. It’s hard enough when the items damaged are replaceable but when irreplaceable ones are lost that is even more heartbreaking!
We lost almost 100% of our belongings. There are some photos we have on Facebook, as well as family members, so that’s a blessing
So sorry to hear about your house fire not only do you have to deal with the devastation it cause at the time but the issues it causes afterwards such as where to live. Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law’s auto accident hope he is recovering well. Hope the house is finished soon and you enjoy getting back into blogging.
So sorry to hear about your house, its great that you have lots of family around though to help and it sounds like you are all supporting each other which is fab!
